9 Things Your Parents Taught You About 3 Wheeler Buggy

Why Buy a 3 Wheeler Buggy?

A three-wheel buggy is a fantastic option for those who enjoy an early morning run. They have larger wheels that give a smoother drive, but they can be bulkier and require a bigger boot.

If you're planning to take your pushchair for outdoor walks look into models with air-filled tires (also known by the name pneumatic). They are able to handle rough terrain and have an front wheel that can lock to provide more stability.

What is a three-wheeler buggy?

If you're off-road or just around town, a 3-wheel buggy offers superior maneuverability. They can turn at a moment's notice and are easy to maneuver and have passed the stringent tests for stability. A fabric sling seat is comfortably inside the frame as opposed to over it like modular seats. This design has lower center of gravity, which makes it easier to push and lighter curb pops (you do not have to put any effort or weight into popping your buggy over a curb). Mountain Buggy(r), has a world-first design: sport verso(tm) that is a three-wheeled inline chassis. It can be used as a child-facing infant carrier or as a toddler ride-on board.

Are you planning to go "off-road"?

If you want to be adventurous and go off the beaten track it is essential that your buggy can cope with rough terrain. You need a sturdy suspension system to absorb bumps, and large wheels that have air-filled tyres that offer great grip on difficult surfaces. A lockable wheel on the front is an excellent option for stability when jogging on rough surfaces.

MFM reviewer Kath put this fun-loving buggy to the ultimate test by driving it across rough dirt tracks, cobbles, and grass with her newborn and she reported that "it was able to tackle all of these in a breeze and was enjoyable to run around in."  3 wheel pushchair  and lockable "swivel" front wheel provide great stability for off-road paths or uneven surfaces. The tyres also come with springs built-in to ensure an easy ride.

Sport verso is a world first. It's an amazing single buggy, however it can easily be adapted to take two (or more!) once your family grows - all within the footprint of one buggy! The sling seat is made of fabric and fits snugly inside the frame, at the perfect height to ensure the perfect weight distribution, instantly giving you a much more comfortable push, a lighter curb pop and better ability to maneuver over any terrain.

Do you want to go 'around town'?

A 3-wheel buggy has a single wheel at the front and two wheels at the rear. Based on the model the wheel is free to rotate or it can be locked so that the buggy is able to move in straight lines. Their USP is that they are extremely maneuverable and easy to steer and they will often come with suspension (which can be handy for tricky terrain) and air-filled tyres to ensure the ride is smooth and comfortable. They are perfect for everyday use around town and are often capable of handling kerb pops, as well as being able to go off road as well.

As with any buggy it is important to drive with a sense of responsibility and not to be distracted by your smartphone, tablet or any other gadget. It is also essential to avoid driving when under the influence of alcohol or drugs since this could affect your reaction times and judgment. Be sure to check the footprint of your buggy once it is folded in order to ensure that it can fit inside your vehicle.

If you're looking for a buggy that can transport you from the park to shops, make sure you choose one with large shopping baskets and features that are useful, such as a padded handle, strong brake pedal (that can stop when it hits the slope) and a large, extendable 50+ sun canopy. MFM reviewer Kath particularly liked the fabric sling seat which includes an automatic lie flat mattress for infants. She also felt the seating was positioned perfectly within the frame for optimal weight distribution. She also it was noted that the triangular frame does mean half the storage capacity of a 4 wheeler.

Want to go 'into the park'

With the superb manoeuvrability that this fun lovin' 3-wheeler offers it is ideal for urban adventures too. MFM reviewer Kath tested it to the test and found it navigated grass, bumpy pavements and cobbles very easily. It also coped well with the kerb poppings around town too, as the fabric sling seat sits comfortably inside the frame at the perfect height for the best weight distribution. It is able to easily push and lift it over them.

This buggy can also be used for jogging because it comes with lockable swivel wheels on the front, and a'snug and stretch' tyre, which provides smooth riding. The only downside to the big wheels is that it isn't easy to fold down into smaller spaces. Luckily, it comes with impressive storage features to make up for this! It has a large basket and a rear zip up pocket.
